Library card

You obligatory need a library card to borrow the library's books. The cards used in the Library of Mathematics are identical to the ones used at Bonn University Library.

To apply for a library card, please contact the Bonn University Library or the Branch Library MNL.

Please take the following documents with you when applying for a library card:

• valid identity card or passport
• valid student card (for students)
• proof of your employment condition (for professors, scientific employees and postgraduates)

When you have lost your library card, please contact the Bonn University Library or the Branch Library MNL as well.

Please observe that a valid library card of the Bonn University Library does not in any case authorizes to borrow the publications of the Library of Mathematics. At the Bonn University Library, library cards are made also for these users who are authorized to borrow publications in the Bonn University Library but not in the Library of Mathematics. If you are authorized to borrow publications in the Library of Mathematics, can be found out in the table of loan periods.
